From unfinished ideas to released music.
Three producers. Three different starting points. Each one went from stuck loops and doubt to finished tracks, label releases and real support from the scene.
Kroom
From abandoned ideas to a finished EP, a TikTok hit and bookings at bigger Czech events.
Before
Jakub makes music after work, one or two hours a day. When he came to me in December 2024, he had been producing for a couple of years and had only uploaded tracks himself. He was full of ideas, but he got stuck on intros and build-ups and had never mastered a track. When the bass would not sound right, he started a new track instead. What he wanted was simple: to make tracks on his own and know he was doing it right.
What we worked on
- Finishing the REBORN EP, intro to outro
- Building the Kroom brand and artist identity
- Jump Up bass sound design from reference tracks
- Mixdown feedback with clear action steps
- A workflow that fits around a full-time job
After
A professional sound, a finished EP, a label release on Spring BassJam Records, and a TikTok hit with "Maniac". Kroom is now getting booked for bigger events around Czechia. He came back for a second program, and today he releases "Hunter", his best track yet in both idea and sound quality. It is the kind of track he used to abandon when the bass got hard.
"From the very beginning, he had a friendly and professional approach, making the learning process both effective and enjoyable. He knows how to explain things clearly and patiently. He adapts to the student's pace and needs, which helped me make huge progress in my music."
KROOMEffecta
From "should I even continue?" to four labels, two EPs and a track on Noisia Radio.
Before
When we started in September 2023, Tomáš was a DJ making edits. He only used presets in Vital. He could not make his own kick or snare, his basses sounded weak and quiet, and he did not know how to master. Projects fell apart halfway, and in the first months he hit a low point where he was not sure he should keep going.
What we worked on
- Production fundamentals and a clear direction
- Releasing early instead of waiting for "perfect"
- Finding his own sound from the artists he loves
- Knowing when a track is ready to release
After
In about two years: 5 singles, 2 bootlegs and 2 EPs. Releases on High Resistance, Automata Music, Hooked Sounds Records and Next:Gen Audio. A professional sound with his own twist, and a track featured on Noisia Radio.
"Your tracks are never really 100%. You'll probably never be completely satisfied with them, and that's okay. The beauty comes from imperfections and mistakes."
Effecta, Beyond Distortion artist interview
"Big thanks go to Confusion, who taught me the basics of production and has supported my music from the very beginning. His friendly and at the same time professional approach is priceless. He tries to support you in what YOU personally like. It wouldn't have been possible without you."
EFFECTADylemma
From "better at starting than finishing" to monthly label releases.
Before
Dylan was a DJ and event organizer with big ambition and lots of ideas. But he struggled to finish. Sound design, mixdown and perfectionism kept tracks from getting out.
What we worked on
- Short daily "splurge" sessions to make starting easy
- Sound design from scratch in Serum and Vital
- Rebuilding reference sounds step by step
- Mixdown, sub and low-end, loudness
- A routine that survives a busy week
- A new artist identity: Kropz became Dylemma
After
Dylan now releases about once a month on labels like Skamele, The Konklave Records and DnB Doctor. His next goal is 24 releases in one year.
"I've always been better at starting than finishing, and it's something I'm becoming better at now: doing the tasks that feel like they drain me."
Dylan
"Before working with you, I felt stuck creatively. I had the passion and ideas, but I couldn't quite bring them to life the way I imagined. Since working with you, everything has shifted. My production quality has improved massively. My tracks sound cleaner, fuller, and more professional."
"You don't just teach, you make me hear differently. I actually look forward to creating now because I know how to turn my ideas into something I'm proud of. You genuinely care about helping artists grow, not just finish songs."
DYLEMMAIn their words.
"Confusion helped me turn my confusion about music production into clarity."
"He really focused on helping me develop my own sound and direction."
"The biggest takeaway was how to make drums and create heavy basses in different ways."
